Flying to Perugia Saint'Egidio:
There are Ryanair flights several times a week, including sundays, from London (Stansted) to Perugia (St. Egidio). For €20 return, transportation to and from Corciano from the Perugia airport can be provided. If you are planning to come on Ryanair to Perugia on Sunday and would like a place on the bus, please make sure you mark that on your application form.
Alternatively, taxis can be shared between up to four people (or three people and a cello), should be booked in advance and cost about €45 to Corciano. We are happy to book a taxi for your group. More information about taxis and public transit at the Sant'Egidio airport website.
Flying to Roma Ciampino or Fiumicino:
Trains can be booked through www.trenitalia.com. Depending on the train, the journey takes about 3 hours and costs about €35. Due to the hills, the Corciano train station is several kilometers from the center of town, so a short taxi ride will be necessary. There is also a coach from Fiumicino to Perugia, operated by Sulga which takes about 4 hours.
If participants wish to rent a car, there is plenty of free parking around Corciano, and many wonderful afternoon excursions to be made, such as Assisi, Lago Trasimeno, Perugia, Sienna, Cortona, Orvieto and many more.
